Learn how to make mittens on double pointed needles in this three hour class. Mittens are one of the most versatile, fun and satisfying projects you’ll ever do! Build on your repertoire of skills as you learn how to increase, decrease, put stitches on hold and pick up stitches to knit your thumbs!
Materials Included: We’ll provide you with a skein of Estelle Alpaca Merino yarn, a lovely chunky wool/alpaca blend, which will work up quickly and makes a super warm pair of mittens! Double point needles also included.
Skill Prerequisite: In order to get the best experience out of this class you must be comfortable with both the knit and purl stitch, casting on and binding off. This class is designed for knitters who have completed a couple of projects such as scarves, etc.
Class Policies: To make sure you have the best experience possible, class size is limited to 5 participants. Unless otherwise stated, students must be a minimum of 14 years old to take our classes. Any relevant experience needed to successfully participate in the class will be listed in the course description. Unless otherwise noted, all supplies will be available to purchase at Handknit Yarn Studio. We reserve the right to cancel a class if the minimum required enrolment number is not met.
Payment and Cancellation Policies: In order to reserve a spot in a class, a 50% non-refundable deposit is required. The remaining balance can be paid on or before the class date. If a class is cancelled, you will receive a 100% refund. You can register for a class in the shop or over the phone at (905) 393-5976. Cancellations made within 48 hours of your class will result in the loss of your non-refundable deposit.
