Holiday Knits for the Family

Posted on December 08 2017

I’m not afraid to say it I’m a selfish knitter. I rarely knit for others but if I do it’s only for my closest family members and only really for the holiday season. Lucky for me I have a very small family!

This year I’m really hoping to finish Wade’s sweater that I cast on last year- or maybe it was the year before…? I'm making the Fort sweater- a Brooklyn Tweed pattern- in Imperial Yarn Columbia. I hope to show you all the finished product before the month is over... (on Instagram @handknityarn)

For my sister, the Bobble Cowl by Joji Locatelli in Skein Study MCN.

I crocheted a very pretty mistletoe garland for the shop this year- it's on display in the shop window. These simple bunches of leaves and berries can be made very quickly and easily, and would make great present toppers. You could even add a safety pin, so the receiver could wear it as a brooch as well! The pattern is a free pattern from

I even managed to whip up some crochet Christmas coasters for the house. Wow, that’s a lot of unselfish knitting!

Happy Holidays Everyone!
