Always wanted to knit your own socks but not sure where to start? Well you're in luck! We're offering a three-session sock workshop we'll guide you through your first pair of worsted weight socks.
In the first session we'll show you how to knit in the round using double pointed needles. (1 hour session)
In the second session you will walk you through all the technical elements of the heel section- knitting the heel flap, turning the heel, and picking up the stitches along the gusset. (3 hour session)
In the third session you will learn to decrease for the toe of your sock and then graft the remaining stitches on your needle using the kitchener stitch method. (2 hour session)
Materials are included in the workshop cost. You'll be supplied with a ball of worsted weight sock yarn and double point needles.
CLASS REQUIREMENT: In order to take part in this workshop you need to be comfortable with both knit and purl stitch, casting on (long tail method) and binding off.
